By , on November 27, 2020

ABS-CBN issued a statement on Thursday, November 26, confirming actress Bea Alonzo’s exit from Star Magic, as she will be under new talent management.

“After a series of consultations, Bea Alonzo has decided to pursue her professional goals under a new talent management,” ABS-CBN said.

“Bea has subsequently advised ABS-CBN that she has appointed Ms. Shirley Kuan to represent her as manager. We respect her decision,” it added.

The network said it is working with the actress and her new management for “a smooth and seamless transition,” and despite Bea’s decision, it said that the celebrity will always be part of their family.

“ABS-CBN has full confidence that Ms. Kuan, an industry veteran, will manage Bea with the same attention and care that Star Magic has devoted to Bea’s professional career,” it said.

Meanwhile, Kuan told ABS-CBN that the transition process “has been low key, peaceful and respectful on both sides.”

The 33-year-old actress began her career in the Kapamilya network in 2001 when she became part of Star Magic’s Batch 10. She has done many notable projects both on television and big screen, including “It Might Be You,” “I Love Betty La Fea,” “Magkaribal,” and “A Love to Last” to name a few for television shows.

For local films, she starred in “One More Chance,” “The Mistress,” and “A Second Chance” where she was partnered with actor John Lloyd Cruz. Bea was also part of the comedy-drama film “Four Sisters and a Wedding,” along with Toni Gonzaga, Angel Locsin, Shaina Magdayao, and Enchong Dee. The 2013 hit film has a prequel, “Four Sisters Before the Wedding,” which will begin streaming in December. Its official movie poster was released by Star Cinema on Monday, November 23.

“A perfectly imperfect family that we all became a part of,” Star Cinema said in a tweet.
