DFA logs 6 new infections, 3 recoveries

MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday reported six new infections and three new recoveries among Filipinos with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the Asia Pacific, raising the active cases and recoveries to 3,228 and 7,367, respectively.

No new fatalities were reported by the agency, with the Covid-19 death toll standing at 828.

As of this writing, about 2,332 Filipino nationals were undergoing treatment in the Middle East/Africa region, 536 in the Asia Pacific, 204 in Europe, and 156 in the Americas.

Compared to last week’s percentages, the DFA said the total number of active cases saw a slight decrease to 28.26 percent.

Meanwhile, the total percentage of Covid-19 recoveries and fatalities decreased at 64.49 percent and 7.57 percent, respectively.
