MANILA – An official of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) urged unserved Covid-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP) applicants to register online for the immediate processing of their cash assistance.

Labor Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay, in a virtual forum on Friday, said some 700,000 formal sector workers who have applied for the cash aid have to encode their information on the DOLE website.

“The unserved applicants need not reapply. What they need to do is to register their information online, that have to log in at www.reports.dole.gov.ph. They just follow the instruction there,” she said.

Tutay said these applicants are the priority to be served by the new allocation under Bayanihan 2 or Bayanihan to Recover as One.

Under CAMP, formal sector workers will be getting a one-time cash subsidy of PHP5,000.

Tutay added that with a fund of over PHP4 billion allotted for the program, they are looking to benefit some 800,000 workers.

“An estimated 800,000 workers in the formal sector that will benefit out of the Php4.7 billion funds downloaded to our regions,” she said.

She added that they are looking to start giving out the cash assistance before November 20.

“Secretary Silvestre Bello earlier said November 20, but we are hoping that before November 20, the beneficiaries will start receiving their financial help,” Tutay said.

The cash assistance is being provided to workers affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
