Musicians KZ Tandingan, 28, and TJ Monterde, 30, have exchanged their “I do”s in an intimate ceremony, as revealed in a music video.
Entitled “Can’t Wait to Say I Do,” a song about wedding days, the music video uploaded on Thursday, October 8, started with the couple hanging out and just roaming around The Farm at San Benito, Batangas.
However, more than the cute and idle moments, it delivered the ultimate surprise and good news as some clips of the couple’s union start flashing. Just as KZ’s lyrical line in the song says “Today I wear my whites” and TJ’s “I’m in my suit and tie,” the couple are shown in their ceremonial garments, going unconventional with KZ in a white suit.
Aside from the music video drop, KZ also shared in an Instagram post many things about the wedding that was attended by only a few family members and friends through Zoom on August 28, 2020.
“We didn’t think we could get married this year because our families are in Mindanao and couldn’t fly in. But our folks being the selfless, understanding, and amazing parents they are, encouraged us to get wed,” she wrote, then thanking musical icon Martin Nievera.
“Bittersweet getting married without my parents walking me down the aisle, but I’m thankful that my other dad, @martinnievera, stepped in to give me away,” she added.
Nievera was a judge in X Factor Philippines in 2012 where KZ, who was 21 then, won as the champion.
KZ and TJ got engaged last year.
In 2018, their relationship nearing four years, KZ said that she believes that marriage is not a race and that tying the knot should only be done when one is ready.

“I know, maybe I’m at the right age to get married, puwede na (I can). Pero (But) I think you should marry when you’re ready,” she said.
