LJ Moreno, along with her husband Alab Pilipinas coach Jimmy Alapag, broke the sad news in their latest vlog post, revealing that she had a miscarriage.

Recalling scenarios in the video, the couple said Moreno had an appointment with a doctor last week, but when she was checked, they could not hear the baby’s heartbeat. The doctor told them that this could be because it was only a little past six weeks into her pregnancy when that appointment happened or could be because of a myoma or growth in her uterus, which her doctor said was “not alarming.”

The couple decided to schedule another appointment hoping that they could hear their baby’s heartbeat, however, it still did not happen. This was where Moreno’s doctor managed their expectations and told them that there’s a possibility that Moreno could have a miscarriage.

“She [the doctor] said we’ll look, we’ll try again[in] the next appointment. So when we went in the next appointment, unfortunately, we found out na wala na talaga (it was gone),” Moreno recalled.

“They call it a miscarriage because I didn’t bleed at first but then the pregnancy stopped. The baby stopped,” she continued.

Moreno said the “hardest part” was telling the news to their children who were then excited when they heard that their family was growing. It was in last month’s vlog where the couple informed their kids about Moreno’s pregnancy.

After learning about the news, Moreno said their son Ian broke down, while their daughter Keona “took it better.”

“At the end of the day, we pray and trust God. God has a plan for all this,” Moreno said.

Alapag, meanwhile, said although it was a “tough week” for them, “we’re not going to question God’s plan for our family and we have absolute faith. He’s been with us, He’s always with us, and I know He’s with us during this time. In God’s time, if He feels it’s right for us to have an addition to our family then it will happen again.”

Moreno and Alapag marked their 10th wedding anniversary on August 19. They have three children, including Calen.
