The entertainment industry is undergoing several big changes after the Congress’s decision to deny the franchise renewal of Kapamilya network, ABS-CBN. As TV5 absorbs some of the stars at loss because of these developments, rumors circulated that Vice Ganda was rejected by the Kapatid network due to his high talent fee.
Vice Ganda took a screenshot of the headline “Ang Mahal (So expensive)! TV5 reportedly rejects Vice Ganda after the comedian’s camp asks 3-M pesos talent fee” by Pinoytrend.net. He labeled it as “fake news.”
“Mga ULUL! Mga bulaang ULUL!!! (Fools! You complete fools!) #PekFakeNews,” he wrote on Twitter, as well as on his Instagram stories.

Pinoytrend’s story cited tabloid articles surrounding Vice Ganda’s supposed asking fees.
No crossing to a different network
Meanwhile, instead of seeking opportunities from other television networks, the star just launched his own digital network, the Vice Ganda Network.
In an online press conference on Monday, July 20, he said that his network is just one way as an artist to reach out to his audience. He said that aside from this, the said project will be his way to help other workers who lost their jobs at ABS-CBN because of the shutdown. At the same time, looking back to his roots as a stand-up comedian, he also hopes to give a platform for other stand-up comedians as the said industry was also affected after several comedy bars closed because of the pandemic.
