Climate change is just one of the problems that the globe is constantly facing, which is why the Climate Change Commission (CCC) is partnering with he Oscar M. Lopez (OML) Center in launching the Klima Film Festival.
Filmmakers aged 16 to 22 are encouraged to be advocates for actions on climate change through their craft.
The festival’s theme “Adapting For a Sustainable Future” is under OML Center’s Balangay project. The said project aims to record climate change in a Filipino context and how it has affected the Filipinos’ identity and culture.
Interested participants will need a team with a maximum of ten members and can register at this link until July 31, 2020: bit.ly/KFFSignUpSheet.
Before entering a film, the participants will be attending a series of free online seminar-workshops about climate change.
The team with the best film from the top 10 finalists will receive a P50,000 cash prize while the 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up will receive P30,000 and P20,000 respectively. The remaining seven will receive P5,000.
