MANILA – The Carcar Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 77 in Cebu was physically closed after one of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

In a memorandum dated July 2 but was released on Friday, RTC Executive Judge Joy Redoble said the court was physically closed from Thursday until July 16.

“All court personnel are mandated to go on self-quarantine for 14 days as a court employee who underwent confirmatory RT-PCR (reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction) swab test has tested positive for Covid-19,” Redoble said.

Court operations shall continue and the court can be reached through the hotline numbers or its email address.

Pleadings may be filed electronically and video conference hearings may be scheduled during the said period.

The measure was made in consultation and approved by Deputy Court Administrator Jenny Aldecoa-Delorino.
