“We may not be on the island but nothing beats having both my kiddos in my arms!” This is Andi Eigenmann’s joyous caption on her latest Instagram post.
Andi, who turned 30 on Thursday, June 25, came back to Manila with the quarantine being relaxed by the government. This reunited her with her firstborn, Ellie, after three months of separation because of the pandemic measures.
The eight-year-old Ellie was under the care of her father, actor Jake Ejercito, Andi’s former partner when Luzon was placed under quarantine. These unexpected developments messed up their fixed schedule of who gets to take care of their daughter. And just in time for Andi’s special day, she is able to celebrate it with her “two best girls” referring to Ellie and her youngest, Lilo.
“Papa [Philmar] is not with us at the moment and we miss him, but so grateful to have had the opportunity to finally be with Ellie after so long!” she continued, pertaining to professional surfer Philmar Alipayo, her partner and the father of 11-month-old Lilo.
Andi, who refers to herself as a part-time actress, full- time holistic living- island mama is based in Siargao. Throughout the lockdown, she did not shy away from letting the whole world how much she missed Ellie, filling Instagram posts with the hope of seeing her again.
“Staying positive is the way to go in times like this, but I cant help but miss Ellie sooo much! I know for sure she is safe with her dad, but I am craving for the day I get to pick her up and come back to the island with her again. Things are just not the same without Ellie here. Her positive spirit and our daily video calling has been keeping me going, soon, I can hold her in my arms again,” she wrote in one of her posts.
