MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Tuesday confirmed that no new fatalities due to coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) were reported among Filipinos abroad.

It also noted a decrease in the daily rate of confirmed cases with only 18 new Filipino patients registered. The overall tally now stands at 2,635 with the death toll at 328.

A total of 16 overseas Filipinos, mostly from Asia and the Pacific and Europe, also recovered, raising the number to 905.

“The DFA, through its embassies and consulates, remains committed to continuously monitoring the status of our nationals abroad and providing assistance whenever possible, to ensure their welfare as we continue to battle against Covid-19,” the DFA said.

As of posting, 1,402 overseas Filipinos are undergoing treatment– 136 in the Asia Pacific region, 457 in Europe, 539 in the Middle East/Africa, and 270 in the Americas.
