MANILA – Novaliches District Hospital will temporarily close for three days, from May 26 until May 28, except for its emergency room.
The Quezon City government announced on its Facebook page on Sunday that the hospital will be thoroughly disinfected as a good number of its employees have tested positive of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
“Critical areas will undergo wall-to-wall disinfection, particularly wards, emergency room and admitting areas,” the post reads.
During the temporary shutdown, hospital front-liners who had close contact with those who previously tested positive for the virus will continue to undergo self-quarantine.
“We are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring the general welfare of patients, health workers and the perimeter community,” the announcement says.
For the meantime, residents who may need medical attention during the temporary shutdown may proceed to the Quezon City General Hospital located in Project 8, and the Rosario Maclang-Bautista General Hospital in Batasan Road.
