By , on May 21, 2020

Amidst a pandemic that has limited physical interactions, a lot of people are empowered through digital means. Unfortunately, this has paved the way for some to just post death threats online even if it’s just trolling. Angel Locsin decides to laugh it off when she gets one but does not forget to tag the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

It was on Wednesday when Angel shared with her 7.4 million followers on Instagram, a screenshot of a certain NJ Abellanosa, whose Twitter handle that is now deactivated is @AbellanosaNj.

Hello, NBI? Beke nemen po…😅

A post shared by Angel Locsin (@therealangellocsin) on

The screenshot shows the netizen tagging the Kapuso network’s account and calling on supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte and GMA 7.

Pwes, I will give you 200-million sa sinumang mga Duterte at GMA supporters at makapatay kina Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, at Angel Locsin. Makakasama nyo ang NPA para pasabugin ang ABS-CBN Compound (Then, I will give 200-million to whoever Duterte and GMA supporter that can kill Kim Chiu, Coco Martin, and Angel Locsin. The NPA will join you in blowing up the ABS-CBN Compound),” he wrote as seen in the screenshot.

Angel’s post also has another graphic which quotes a certain Placido Dignos, accusing her of supporting the New People’s Army (NPA) or the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

The 35-year-old actress just captioned her post with, “Hello, NBI? Beke nemen po…😅”

The NBI, on Thursday, said that it “any threats made to any person” is being taken seriously by their agency.

“If Angel Locsin and other artists receive threats of physical harm or other means sent thru the social media and they feel these threats are serious, they have all the right to seek the assistance of the NBI so their concerns can be appropriately addressed,” the NBI told ABS-CBN News.

Angel, Coco, and Kim joined #LabanKapamilya, an online protest against the government’s move of shutting down ABS-CBN after its franchise expired. Angel is also known for being a staunch critic of the Duterte administration.

As of writing, it is not known if the actress or any of the mentioned artists filed a formal complaint to the NBI. However, Angel just told her followers to not message the netizen anymore, “Natawaloka lang ako!”

It can be remembered that public school teacher Ronnel Mas was arrested by the NBI for tweeting an offer of P50 million reward to anyone who kills the president.
