MANILA – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Wednesday received two emergency quarantine facilities (EQFs) from a group of architects and stakeholders.

The turnover ceremony took place at the V. Luna General Hospital in Quezon City, AFP public affairs office chief, Navy Capt. Jonathan Zata, said in a statement.

These facilities, located at the hospital, were a construction project designed and led by Architect William Ti Jr. of WTA Architecture + Design Studio with other architects and industry experts.

They were designed for hospitals and institutions that are at maximum capacity to provide additional space for patients who need to undergo quarantine.

Currently, the EQF Team is collectively pushing to build a total of 62 EQFs within and outside Metro Manila.

The facilities were funded by SM Foundation and Tayô, Táyo! Fundraiser.

The V. Luna General Hospital is also known as the AFP Medical Center and is home to the AFP Health Service Command.
