MANILA – The Philippine Army (PA) on Wednesday received 15,000 face masks from the Indian defense company, MKU Limited, through the Philippine International Trading Corporation (PITC).
The items were turned over by PITC Undersecretary Dave Almarinez to PA assistant chief-of-staff for civil-military operations, Col. Patricio Ruben Amata, during short ceremonies in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
These face masks will be distributed to the uniformed personnel deployed to the checkpoints and to the medical staff of the Army General Hospital.
“We are grateful for your generosity to our front-liners,” Amata said.
He said the aid will greatly help the PA in its ongoing efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the country.
“Your support will come a long way in our pursuit to combat the threats of Covid-19 against our people,” he said.
