A few days after it was reported that Kapamilya TV host and actress Anne Curtis gave birth to her firstborn child with her husband, restaurateur Erwan Heussaff, their fans couldn’t be more excited for the couple to show a glimpse of their daughter.
But not wanting them to wait any longer, the couple on Friday, March 6, treated their supporters with pictures of their newborn, whom they named Dahlia Amélie.
Introducing her little one to the world, Anne posted a photo of Dahlia’s tiny left hand which was seen holding her mother’s thumb.
“Never knew I could love someone so much… So much that it hurts in a good way. It’s an unexplainable kind of love. The kind I’ve never felt before,” the actress said in her heartfelt caption.
She continued, “It’s so overwhelming and fills your heart to the brim with pure happiness. I will always be here to love, protect, guide and hold her little hand every step of the way… even when that little hand isn’t so little anymore.”
For his part, Erwan uploaded a photo of him holding his daughter’s feet, saying he never thought that his heart “could grow so quickly in just one day.”
Although it was only a short caption, Erwan’s overflowing love not only for Dahlia but, of course, to his wife can be felt in one’s bones.
“I also had no idea that I could fall in even more in love with my wife. Anne was so impressive throughout her pregnancy and labor and I will forever be in her debt,” said.
Dahlia was born on Monday, March 2, in Melbourne, Australia.

The couple, who have been married since 2017, did not reveal if there was any particular reason as to why they chose the name “Dahlia Amélie” for their daughter, but it can be recalled that the name of Anne’s character in her first-ever movie stint in 1997, Magic Kingdom, was “Princess Dahlia.”
As she celebrated her 23rd year with Viva Entertainment last February, the Filipino-Australian actress shared clips from the adventure-fantasy film, which triggered 90’s kids with extreme nostalgia.
“Just sharing that I actually find it amazing that a lot of the people who follow me have in way, grown up together with me throughout my whole journey in the industry… and of course, a younger generation has joined the bandwagon along the way! Thank you. Wala lang. Napa-reminisce din ako (Nothing much. I was also reminiscing). Enjoy!!!!” she wrote.
