Filipino film fans will be seeing 49-year-old multi-award-winning actor Aga Muhlach in the cinemas, alongside FAMAS Best Actress awardee 25-year-old Nadine Lustre in a new movie, according to an announcement by VIVA Artists Agency last Monday, July 1.

In an Instagram post for their 345,000 followers, the two actors are photographed captioned, “Meeting for a new project!” Also in the image was Viva head Vic del Rosario. Also present during that meeting were director Nuel Naval and writer Mel del Rosario.

According to an article by the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP), Aga and Nadine will be pairing up for the Philippine adaptation of popular Korean movie, “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” which tells the story of a six-year-old who struggles with her mentally ill father who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. Despite cell number seven holding the most difficult criminals, the man somehow proves to all the prisoners that he is a kind fellow, getting together the members of the cell to free him so that he can be with his daughter once again.

Aga and Nadine are both among the top stars of the talent agency, VIVA recently releasing the trailer of “Indak” starring Nadine and Sam Concepcion, as well as “Nuuk,” which stars Aga and Alice Dixson.

Nadine is also part of the upcoming Filipino adaptation of “Spellbound,” where she will be reunited on-screen with real-life partner James Reid.

Being one of the most notable actors in the Philippine entertainment industry, Muhlach has previously been partnered with younger artists like Kristine Hermosa, Angel Locsin, and Anne Curtis. Most recently, he was cast opposite Bea Alonzo in 2018 film “First Love.”
