Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson on Thursday, May 9, said he is not convinced with the latest matrix released by Malacañang which alleged some personalities, including television host Gretchen Ho and Olympic medalist Hidilyn Diaz, to be behind a plot to oust President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Hindi rin ako bilib sa matrix na pinalabas ni Secretary (Salvador) Panelo (I do not believe the matrix that Secretary Panelo has released). Why? For a simple reason: Hidilyn Diaz, gem ‘yan eh. Nakapag-uwi siya ng gold, In fact, sa Senate in-honor namin siya. Nag-pass kami ng resolution (Hidilyn Diaz, she is a gem. She brought home a gold medal. In fact, at the Senate we honored her. We passed a resolution) commending her, congratulating her, Lacson told reporters during the Kapihan sa Senado forum.
“Pagkatapos biglang masasali doon. May time ba ‘yung bata na makialam doon sa destabilization (Then suddenly she became part of it. Does that kid even have time to meddle in the destabilization)?” he added.
Likewise, Lacson said it was also “unlikely” for Ho, a former volleyball player, to also become part of the alleged ouster plot.
“Kung sino man ang nagprepare noong matrix o information na ‘yun, parang kulang sa research (Whoever prepared that matrix or information, it seems like they lacked research),” the senator stressed.
Both Ho and Diaz have denied the accusations, with Ho saying that she does not even know who “Bikoy” is nor watched or shared his videos where he linked the President’s family and his allies to the illegal drug trade. She also said she has no idea who Rodel Jayme is. Jayme is the reported web administrator of metrobalita.com where the “Ang Totoong Narco List” videos appeared.
Diaz, meanwhile, said she has “many goals in life” and for the country to even participate in such plot against the Chief Executive.
“Nashock lang ako nalink ako sa ganyan (I’m just shocked that I was linked in that),” she tweeted.
Aside from Ho and Diaz, the latest matrix disclosed by the Palace on Wednesday include the Liberal Party (LP), Magdalo group, and some media outfits as one of those who are allegedly conspiring to discredit the current administration.
