Philippine entertainment’s ‘Chinita Princess’ Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu embraces her 29th birthday as she celebrates in a bikini at Balesin Island Club in Polillo, Quezon with her family this past weekend.
The former Pinoy Big Brother big winner turned 29 last April 19, taking a break from social media that day not only because she wanted privacy, but also because it was Good Friday and she wanted to reflect on her blessings.
In an Instagram photo posted a day later, she shares, “Because yesterday was a Good Friday, I took a social media day off to honor and reflect how Jesus died for us and at the same time, it was my day of birth and I just want to say thank you to the man above for giving me this wonderful life.” She then shares consecutive videos and photos of her beach getaway to her 6.1 million followers, saying, “Never been at the beach this long, surprisingly feels really good! Soul rejuvenated, dreams renewed. Just me, the sun, the sky, and the sea!” adding a thank you to her family and friends that were present during the trip with her.
Not spotted in the photos is Kim’s longtime boyfriend, actor Xian Lim. However, he made sure to express his feelings for his partner, sharing a photo captioned in a mix of English and Filipino, “We first met about 10 years ago and I remember seeing one of your billboards while driving and I remember saying to myself, ‘It probably feels great to love someone like you,’” adding, “True enough, we started working together and I fell in love with you right away. I think it’s safe to say that we fell in love with each other right away.”
Despite not being in Balesin together, prior to the Holy Week, the two were spotted on a vacation in Taiwan. They announced earlier in the month the upcoming premiere of their new series entitled “Love Thy Woman,” who co-stars Erich Gonzales.
