To celebrate the 70 years of diplomatic ties between the Philippines and South Korea, artists from the Philippine and Korean entertainment industries will take center stage at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Thursday, March 7 for the ‘2019 K-Pop Friendship Concert.’

In the words of the ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Philippines, Han Dong-man, about the event, “Throughout this milestone year in Korea-Philippine relations, I aim to intensify the promotion of Korean culture in this country. As well, I intend to promote the Philippines and its culture among Koreans living here and in Korea. Hence, when we host cultural events in the Philippines, we strive to infuse them with Filipino elements or closely collaborate with local partners.”

This celebration, which is presented by Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, will welcome boy groups NCT Dream and Noir, while six-member group April will be visiting the Philippines for the first time as well.
