After completing her final playing year with the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws for the University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 81, top middle blocker Celine Domingo has just announced that she will be representing the Creamline Cool Smashers for the third season of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference that begins in May.

The UAAP season soon begins for Domingo on February 16 and will run for about 10 weeks, Creamline team manager Alan Acero sharing on his Twitter that, “The reigning UAAP Best Blocker will sign and suit up for Creamline at the conclusion of the Lady Tams’ campaign in UAAP Season 81,” joining Risa Sato and Pau Soriano for the middle position.

He added, “Ced will provide depth in the middle and help the team defend its Reinforced Conference title.” Domingo will also be performing with teammates five-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) Alyssa Valdez, setter and two-time finals MVP Jia Morado, Jema Galanza, Michele Gumabao, and Melissa Gohing.

Prior to her PVL career, Domingo also played for the Smart prepaid Giga Hitters in the Philippine Superliga (PSL). She was also named Best Blocker during the 80th UAAP season and led her team to the championship after nine years. After the finals, she shared, “My deepest gratitude to our coaches, managers, families, friends, fans, my VP fam and the FEU community. You guys are our inspiration and the source of our strength. We may not [have] reached our goal yet here I am still proud of what we have achieved.🥈 See you all next season!”

Domingo is only one of the plenty announcements anticipated from Creamline and volleyball fans still wondering who the new head coach will be after Tai Bundit’s departure.
