Authorities on Sunday, December 23, arrested two United States (US) citizens after they were reportedly dumping a body of a dead woman in the Pasig River.

The two suspects, according to Manila Police District (MPD), were named as Troy Woody, Jr., 21, and Mir Islam, 22. Woody and Islam were identified as chief executive officers (CEOs) of Luxr Limited Liability Company.

On Sunday, the two Americans booked a Grab car from a condominium in Barangay Highway Hills in Mandaluyong City at around 1:53 a.m.

Loading a large brown box in the car’s trunk, the two suspects were reportedly going to a mall in Ermita, Manila; however, Woody and Islam asked the Grab driver to go first to Pasig River in Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila.

As the car arrives, Woody and Islam dumped the big box into the Pasig River and boarded the car again.

Suspecting what his passengers did, the Grab driver immediately reported the incident to the police after dropping off the two Americans at the mall.

The police then investigated the said incident and found a woman’s body inside the box wrapped in a garbage bag with duct tape.

The victim was identified as Tomi Michelle Masters, a 23-year-old US citizen.

A follow-up operation was then conducted by the cops which led to the arrest of Woody and Islam. The two suspects were turned over to the Mandaluyong City Police Station.

As of writing, further details about the case has not yet been disclosed.
