After many speculations, television host Vice Ganda finally shares with the public her relationship with the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Phoenix Fuel Masters player Calvin Abueva during his guesting on Tonight With Boy Abunda.
Vice describes Calvin as a “sweet friend,” but reveals that they are not dating, telling Boy Abunda in Filipino, “Honestly, Calvin is not my boyfriend. We’re not like that,” adding, “I really appreciate him because of all the basketball players I’ve been friends with, only some of those are proud to say, ‘I’m really really close to Vice.” The Gandang Gabi Vice host then elaborates how numerous of his “close” friends avoid posting about their friendship on social media because of the risk of being linked romantically. Vice Ganda continues to praise how Calvin “doesn’t care,” saying, “He’s not scared for people to see that we’re close to each other because he doesn’t see anything wrong with it.”
After Vice Ganda tells Boy Abunda that Calvin Abueva “makes [him] so happy,” he was then asked about the possibility of developing feelings for “The Beast,” to which Vice answered saying, “I seriously don’t know. I don’t want to think about it. I just want to feel what I’m feeling right now.”
To end the interview, Vice says he hopes that his fans will support him throughout anything he does sharing, “When I talk to my audience and followers, I feel like this is also going to end. I don’t know when. Give this to me. Give this to me because I want to be happy and I get that from my friendship with Calvin,” finishing his statement, “And because of the happiness I get from being friends with him, I’m able to make everyone happier through my job.”
