Former entertainer and now Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Esther Margaux “Mocha” Uson drew the ire of the country’s ‘Queen of All Media’ when she posted an online video to defend President Rodrigo Duterte’s controversial kiss gimmick.

The video posted on Monday, June 4, on Mocha’s official Facebook page compared a video clip of Duterte kissing a Filipina on stage in South Korea to a footage of Kris Aquino’s late father, former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., being kissed by two female supporters on the airplane moments before he was killed.

Reacting to this video, which as of writing has obtained 821,000 views and more than 14,000 reactions on Facebook, Kris, addressed Mocha: “Marami akong pinalagpas. Binalahura mo na ang buong pagkatao ng pamilya namin… Mapapansin mo si Noy [former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III] hindi parte ng video ko dahil BUHAY sya. Kaya nyang depensahan ang sarili nya (I have let many instances slide. You disrespected the entire character of my family. You will notice that Noy is not part of the video because he is still alive and can defend himself).”

“Pero nung napanuod ko yung inupload mo para depensahan si presidente Duterte (na ni minsan hindi ko pinakitaan ng hindi maganda) alam mo ba kung ano ang ginawa mo? Sinariwa mo ang sugat sa puso ng isang batang 12 years old nung pinaslang ng walang kalaban laban ang kanyang ama (But when I watched the video you uploaded to defend President Duterte — whom I have never shown ill will to — did you know what you did? You opened the wounds in the heart of a 12-year-old girl when her father was defenselessly killed),” she stressed.

Kris, who is the youngest daughter of Ninoy and former President Corazon “Cory” Aquino, shared that she even cried when she saw the video of her father being kissed by the two women because that last kiss was the gift which was not given to her late mother.

“Nangako akong hindi kita papatulan (I promised not to hit back at you)- but this time you crossed the line,” she said.

Kris added that Mocha rekindled the hurts she felt from her then strained relationship with her mother and her past romantic relationship.

“Na disown ako pero nung 1 month si kuya [Josh]– naglakas loob akong pumunta sa Times Street and once kinarga nya yung apo nya – sya na yung pinaka nagmahal sa anak kong may autism (I was disowned [by my mother] but when Josh was one-month old – I dared to go to the Times Street and once she held her grandson in her arms – she was the one who loved my son, who has autism, the most),” Kris recalled.

“Pinaalala mo na nung issue namin ni Joey [actor Joey Marquez], nung umamin ako sa STD [Sexually Transmitted Disease], niyakap lang ako ng nanay ko (You have reminded me of my issue with Joey, when I admitted that I have STD, my mom just hugged me),” she continued.

Despite Kris’s shortcomings in life, she stressed that she never covered up someone’s misdeeds and has never used anyone for personal gain.

“Inako ko lahat ng mali ko at dahil nga minahal ako ng nanay ko at gusto kong maging mabuting ina – sinisikap kong ayusin ang buhay ko (I took all the blame and because my mother loved me and I want to become a better mom – I’m doing my best to fix my life),” she said.

Kris then asked Mocha to direct criticisms towards her, not to her family.

“Kaya ngayon hihiramin ko ang salita nya: TAMA NA. SOBRA NA… Kung may gusto kang punching bag, please ako na lang. Kasi buhay ako, kaya kitang sagutin. At hindi kita uurungan (That’s why now I will borrow her words: Enough already. It is too much… If you want a punching bag, please pick me instead. Because I’m alive and I can answer you. I won’t draw back),” she said.

The actress’s message to Mocha came with a video showing the assistant secretary’s posts against Kris’s family, video footage of her parents’ funerals, and some quotes.

This was not the first time Kris has broken her silence against her family’s bashers. It can be recalled that Kris, last February, slammed purveyors of fake news about her late mother’s legacy, saying that a lot of Philippine history is being rewritten and erased because of them.
