Despite drop in her trust ratings, the Vice President thanked her supporters.

Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa ating mga kababayan na patuloy na naniniwala at nagtitiwala sa akin bilang Pangalawang Pangulo (I am wholeheartedly thankful to our countrymen who continuously believe and trust me as the Vice President),” Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo said in a statement.

Robredo was reacting to the recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released on May 2, Wednesday, revealing that her net trust rating dropped to a +39 “good” from her +52 “very good” in the last quarter.

The newest survey results are pushing me to pursue and work harder on the desires of my office, to attain at help more of our countrymen, especially the needy),” the Vice President continued.

Robredo also cited the electoral protest by former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. against her, in which the Supreme Court (SC) is sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal (PET) to head the recount.

We are facing a lot of obstacles in complying to our mandate, including the number of lies that are being circulated, in the attempt of snatching this office and the mandate that was entrusted to me by the people),” she said.

Robredo was, however, positive that the trust of the people on her will serve as her will to continue giving a better service.

You can hope that I will continue fighting for the dreams and voices of our fellow Filipinos),” she added.

The SWS survey bared that 58% out of 1,200 adult Filipinos have “much trust” in the Vice President, with 18% having “little trust” in her, and 23% being undecided.
