Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque is in the middle of documenting deaths linked to President Rodrigo Duterte administration’s drug war, to back the stand of the government that cops involved in these deaths should not be jailed.
Roque, who also serves as Duterte’s human rights adviser, said that he is taking this step to end criticisms on the government’s reluctance in releasing documents related to its anti-illegal drugs campaign.
In a few months, he said “I will have a file each for every killing reported by the PNP indicating that there was no excessive use of force and if there’s reason to file charges against the killers.”
By the time the documentation is finished, Roque said they should have come up with a report on those who should be prosecuted, if there is any.
