MANILA — Operatives of the Philippine National Police’s Counter Intelligence Task Force (PNP-CITF) on Tuesday arrested two policemen involved in extorting money from van and bus drivers in an illegal terminal in Pasay City.

CITF chief, Senior Supt. Chiquito Malayo, identified the two suspects as PO2 Jerry Adjani Jubail and PO1 Michael Mindevil Domalanta.

The duo were arrested in an entrapment operation and were caught in the act of receiving marked money in Dela Cruz St., Malibay, Pasay City.

Complainants said the two collect anywhere between PHP300 and PHP500 from bus and van drivers to allow them to pick up passengers at the illegal terminal.

The two are under the custody of the CITF in Camp Crame, awaiting inquest proceedings for the filing of formal charges.

National Capital Regional Police Office chief, Director Camilo Cascolan, earlier said wayward policemen will not be reassigned to new units and will automatically face charges.
