Guevarra to be prudent in commenting on DOJ cases

By , on April 10, 2018

Department of Justice’s Menardo Guevarra said he will be a prudent Justice Secretary, vowing not to prejudge controversial cases handled by the agency.

“I will not prejudge until I’ve formed my own conclusion,” Guevarra said.

He also vowed to study the cases handled by the DOJ before commenting on it and review the decisions made by the DOJ regarding the cases of drug syndicate Kerwin Espinosa and alleged pork barrel queen Janet Napoles.

“I will review previous actions on the Espinosa and Napoles cases. That’s top priority in view of the public interest involved,” he said.

“Prudence is my guiding principle, and the rule of law is my one and only compass. As an individual with a quiet family, I have neither political ambitions nor any agenda to dispense justice,” he added.
