The PRC, in its final list of cases attended as of 8 a.m. Wednesday, said most of the patients, or 854, suffered from high blood pressure, while 424 suffered cuts, 179 had abrasions, and 76 experienced dizziness.

Its volunteers attended to 74 patients who had difficulty breathing, 24 who fainted, 23 who experienced weakness, four who had fractures, and two who had seizures.

Seven patients were transported to hospitals for suspected neck and spine injury, chest pains, fracture and weakness.

The PRC also extended psychosocial support to 210 individuals, particularly in tracing missing companions.

For this year’s “Traslacion”, the PRC mobilized 2,000 volunteers spread in nine first aid stations set up along the path of the procession, as well as 58 ambulances, a fire truck, an amphibian and three plastic rescue boats, among others.

In last year’s “Traslacion”, the PRC served about 2,566 individuals. (PNA)
