Pimentel impatient to see PNP’s effectiveness

By , on December 22, 2017

Following the killing of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro councilor Melchor Arago and his 15-year-old son, which remains unresolved, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III expressed disappointment over the incompetence of the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Calling out PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, Pimentel asked, “Where is the peace and order that dela Rosa says the people are ungrateful for?”

It can be recalled that dela Rosa recently called the critics of the administration’s drug war “ungrateful” despite benefiting from the results of peace and order brought by its war on drugs.

Moreover, Pimentel demanded that the PNP improve their performance because their lack of competence encourages criminals to commit more crimes.
