Pangilinan belies Drilon, Roxas alleged drug involvement

By , on December 22, 2017

The drug allegations thrown at Liberal Party (LP) members Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II are claims that were fabricated by the Duterte administration, Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan said on Friday.
“This is a joke fabricated by the administration to divert the attention of the public away from the country’s controversies like the P6.4 billion shabu smuggling at the BOC, and the everyday killings brought by anomalistic and abusive PNP’s,” the senator said on Friday, adding that such allegations will not silence them from exposing the truth.
Pangilinan also called on the authorities to chase those who smuggled the P6.4 billion drugs at the BOC if they really want to know the top syndicates in the country.
“The evidence is planted and fabricated to press the opposition and the evidence is forged so that the conspirator can escape and be freed,” Pangilinan said.
“We should speak and expose the mistakes,” he added.
The senator’s statement came after Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will consider the affidavit of Ricky Serenio, confessed bagman of the Berya drug cartel who alleged that Drilon and Roxas were “protectors” of drug lord Melvin Odicta, who was killed August last year at the Caticlan port.
