Ejercito positive CA will approve Duque’s appointment

By , on December 22, 2017

Senator JV Ejercito on Friday expressed confidence that newly-appointed Health Secretary Francisco Duque III won’t have a hard time getting the approval of the bicameral Commission on Appointments (CA).

According to the chairman of the Senate health committee, “Secretary Duque is a decent person with high integrity and credibility. I don’t think he will have a hard time with the CA.”

Ejercito also expressed eagerness in working with him very soon.

If Duque would receive a nod from CA, it would be his second time to head DOH, as he had held the same position during the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo administration.

Duque replaced Paulyn Ubial whose temporary appointment was rejected by the CA last October 10.
