By , on December 22, 2017

Hailing US President Donald Trump as a world leader of utmost importance, President Rodrigo Duterte guaranteed that he would treat him in the most righteous way this November in their anticipated bilateral meeting on the 31st Association of Southeast Asian (ASEAN) Summit in the Philippines.

“I would deal with US President Trump in the most righteous way, welcome him as an important leader. As a matter of fact, the most important leader on this side of the planet and I would have to listen to him, what he has to say,” Dutere said.

The president also stressed his commonalities with Trump. According to him, they share the same stand in fighting illegal drugs, among others.

“We move our mouths in the same cadence, for example like declaring a national emergency regarding the drug issue,” Duterte said.

Moreover, Duterte said that he will discuss to Trump the issues on terrorism, the bilateral relations of the two countries, solutions on drug woes, and matters regarding North Korea, which he said is the most significant.
