Kin pushes through Reynaldo’s burial amid questions of identity

By , on December 19, 2017

Parents of slain teen Reynaldo “Kulot” De Guzman, the missing boy found floating in a creek in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, decided to push through with the burial on Wednesday despite the ongoing dispute over the body’s identity.

On Monday, the Philippine National Police (PNP) released DNA test results which showed that the body was not of Kulot’s because it did not match the samples taken from his parents Eduardo Gabriel and Lina De Guzman.

Moreover, De Guzman’s brother, Edgardo said that facial features of the body differ with his younger brother’s and another brother Mon Gabriel also said that the body’s ear had been pierced while De Guzman’s wasn’t.

However, despite the contradictions, the parents believed and insisted that it was their son.
