Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said that he is planning to file four counts of violation of privacy of communication in the Sandiganbayan and an ethics complaint in the Senate next week against Senator Risa Hontiveros for putting his privacy at stake after exposing his text messages to a Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption member.
After receiving negative comments from the senators and the public, Aguirre threatened to sue Hontiveros because he believed that his credibility as a Justice Secretary was damaged.
However, Aguirre remained silent when asked about his comments regarding the text messages.
Meanwhile, Hontiveros confidently welcomed Aguirre’s decision.
“He is chasing a dead end. But if the Justice Secretary wants to file cases against me, go ahead. See you in court, Mr. Aguirre,” she said.
