MANILA — The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) central office condemned on Wednesday the shooting of its provincial director.
“This cannot be ignored. We call for prompt investigations to ensure the suspects are captured and punished,” said TESDA Director General Guiling Mamondiong in a statement.
TESDA said it has sought help from the National Bureau of Investigation to take a deeper probe into the incident.
Last December 7, TESDA Negros Occidental Director Julius Jamero, 45, was shot by unidentified gunmen in Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
TESDA said Jamero was shot seven times and was seriously wounded. Jamero was driving “when he was waylaid and shot along Trangka Street in Barangay Zone 12,” the statement said.
Jamero was rushed to the Riverside Medical Center, Bacolod City.Police authorities are still investigating and determining the motive of the shooting. (PNA)
