By , on December 13, 2017

North Korea’s central court resolves to free Hyeon Soo Lim more than two years after he was sentenced of life imprisonment. The said pastor was arrested in North Korea for committing a crime of anti-state activities.

The news on the pastor’s release was reported by North’s official Korean Central News Agency without further details but they have described it as a “sick bail”.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a statement released on Thursday that he was “pleased and relieved” for Lim’s freedom.

He also assured that the pastor will receive any required medical attention as Lim’s health and well-being remains of utmost importance to the government of Canada.

He also acknowledged Sweden’s aid in the matter but due to “operational security considerations” the Canadian government cannot disclose more information.
