32 deaths in an overnight drug raid

By , on December 12, 2017

In defense to the news of the alarming number of deaths recorded in an overnight drug entrapment operations conducted in Bulacan, the Philippine National Police said that it is “normal”.

The 26 consecutive drug raids in one night left 32 suspected narco-traffickers dead and recorded to be the highest number of illegal-drug related deaths in a single day since President Rodrigo Duterte launched his so-called ‘war on drugs’.

“If there were 22 or 25 operations conducted, it is normal. If a single operation resulted in that many deaths, that’s where there will be questions,” PNP spokesperson Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said.

The drug raids also resulted to the arrests of 107 suspected drug offenders.
