MANILA — Rains may prevail over Luzon due to the tail-end of a cold front affecting the eastern section of northern Luzon and the northeast monsoon affecting extreme northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said Sunday morning.
In its 24-hour forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.
There could also be scattered light to moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas.
The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Ilocos, Cordillera and Batanes.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over Luzon, while its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from east to northeast with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
