Senator Antonio Trillanes said on Tuesday he will file a plunder complaint against Sen. Richard Gordon and a libel case against Thinking Pinoy blogger Rey Joseph Nieto.

Trillanes, during the Kapihan sa Senado, said he is set to file plunder protest against Gordon tomorrow at the Office of the Ombudsman over the supposed corruption during his chairmanship in the Philippine Red Cross.

Trillanes asserted that Gordon allocated a part of his pork barrel to Red Cross during his first term as a senator. That time, he is also serving as the chairperson of the organization.

“If you look at it, there is really no problem. But, he is the chairman, he is the one disbursing the fund,” Trillanes said in Filipino.

Trillanes also said that he will send letters to the Commission on Audit (COA) and the International Federation of Red Cross to ask them to undertake independent audits on the funds of the Philippine Red Cross.

Earlier, during the hearing on the smuggled P6.4 billion worth of shabu that entered Bureau of Customs, Trillanes blasted Gordon sitting as the chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon committee, saying he should be an investigator not a defense lawyer.

He said Gordon is “lawyering” for some of the members of the presidential family particularly Davao City Vice-Mayor Paolo Duterte and son-in-law Manases Carpio whose names are tagged in the smuggling haul.

Meanwhile, Trillanes said he is also set to file a libel case against Nieto for peddling news that the former was allegedly called by United States President Donald Trump as a “little narco.”

“My lawyers are already preparing the libel case. We will file a libel against him,” Trillanes said.

“That’s a lie. It’s a propaganda operation,” he added. “It seems like I’m a drug lord with that narco tag. That’s derogatory.”

Last September, Trillanes also filed criminal charges, including libel, against Palace Communications Assistant Secretary Margaux “Mocha” Uson for claiming that Trillanes have secret offshore accounts.
