MANILA — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has shared the good news that 34 Filipino caregivers have successfully passed the licensure examination for nurses in Israel.
The examination held in Tel Aviv was taken by at least 114 Filipinos last September 2 and 3.
The Professional Regulations Commission announced that 623 out of 1,572 passed the 2017 Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE) Nurses given last September in the Middle East.
In a statement on Thursday, the DFA said the licensure exam is in line with the Philippine Embassy’s reintegration program for Filipino overseas workers in Israel who are on five-year contracts as caregivers.
“The SPLE hopes to provide opportunities for decent and sustainable work for returning Overseas Filipino Workers in line with “Sa ‘Pinas Ikaw ang Ma’am at Sir” reintegration program of the Department of Labor and Employment,” it said.
Meanwhile, it informed that results of the SPLE on Teaching Profession will be released soon.
