MANILA — An official of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said Marilou Danley, reportedly girlfriend/roommate of Stephen Paddock, the suspect in the recent shooting in Las Vegas, left the country for Los Angeles, California on Tuesday afternoon.

Danley, a Filipino-Australian citizen, was earlier considered as a person of interest in the Las Vegas, Nevada shooting that killed 59 people and injured many others.

According to BI spokesperson Antonette Mangrobang, Danley’s departure was processed by an immigration officer at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 on Tuesday.

“Marilou left the country, dumaan siya sa (immigration) officer natin 5:56 p.m., bound for Los Angeles on board PR flight 102. (She passed through our immigration officer at 5:56 p.m., bound for Los Angeles on board PR flight 102.) Straight flight to LA,” she said in an interview Wednesday.

Mangrobang, however, said they do not have information on whether Danley has a companion when she left the country.

She said they have been coordinating with their US counterparts regarding the matter.

“BI has been in close coordination with the homeland security and Federal Bureau of Investigation, in so far as providing them with information,” she added.

The BI official confirmed that Danley, who holds an Australian passport, arrived in the country on Sept. 25, and her visa is not yet expired.

Kasi initial stay naman ng Australian national is for 30 days (Australian nationals can initially stay in the country for 30 days). They can extend their visa,” Mangrobang said.

Based on BI data, Danley came to the Philippines in 2013, 2014 and 2015. (PNA)
