MANILA — Despite missing out on grabbing all the marbles, Chooks-to-Go wants to end its stint in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup on a high note.

The Filipino side bounced back from a dismal outing against host team China Kashgar in the quarterfinals with a 92-57 rout of Al Ahli-Dubai in a classification match at the Chenzhou Sports Center in Chenzhou, China on Friday night.

Chooks-to-Go sparked the breakaway with a 9-0 run midway through the second quarter as Al Ahli-Dubai struggled while playing undermanned.

Kiefer Ravena led Chooks-to-Go, which will face Mono Vampire in the fifth place battle on Saturday, with 20 points, six rebounds, and one assist, while Almond Vosotros added 14 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

Qais Alshabebi led Al Ahli-Dubai, which only had seven active players on Friday night and had to play the rest of the game without a sub, with injuries to two of them, with 28 markers, 13 boards, and two swipes.

Chooks-to-Go, however, had some injury bug of its own. Jeron Teng injured his ankle early into the game and is doubtful for the Mono rematch.
