KUALA LUMPUR — The Philippine bowling team collected its sixth medal on Thursday, winning the bronze medal in the mixed trios TPB8+TPB9+TPB10 event at the Sunway Pyramid Mega Lanes here.
Kim Ian Chi, Augusto Hernandez and Christopher Yue tallied 2,075 pinfalls to finish third behind gold winner Malaysia’s Mohd Azrin Rahim, Muhamad Amin and Zahidi Bin Lamsah (2,209) and Singapore’s Anuar Bin Saaid, Bahkia Bin Hashim and Tan Swang Hee (2,119).
It was the Philippines’ third bronze medal, counting the two bronzes earlier won by Hernandez in the men’s singles TPB8 event and Angelito Guloya and Yue in the mixed doubles TPB9+TPB9 event.
The Philippines also won one gold courtesy of Yue in the mixed singles TPB9 event and two silver medals coming from Chi and Samuel Matias in the mixed doubles TPB10+TPB10 event and the Francisco Ednaco and Jaime Manginga in the mixed doubles TPB8+TPB8 event.
