Who wouldn’t say yes to uncomplicated beauty with these cosmetics?

“It’s Showtime” host, actress, and a brand endorser Anne Curtis opened the door of her own makeup brand, BLK Cosmetics, to the public on Wednesday.

The BLK Cosmetics is promoted as “long-wearing, cruelty-free makeup”. On its Instagram account, BLK Cosmetics named Anne as the creative director—“beauty and brains”—behind the brand.

“(Blk) is short of black. Why we chose black is because it really represents for being timeless, uncomplicated. So that was really the inspiration behind it, that everyone can have an uncomplicated beauty regimen with the right products,” the actress said.

Anne shared that learning how to put on the right look with the right kit followed a period of “
trial and error”. On most days, the actress does her own makeup for her daily TV show and can totally slay it without any help from a glam team.

Curtis added that when a person starts to learn, he or she knows what colors compliments his or her face.

“You learn that piling make up all over your face doesn’t really suit me,” she said.

The main theme of the makeup brand is “simplicity” or “#beautymadesimple.”

“The blk girl is someone on the go, who is not afraid to experiment, and is a go-getter. She keeps it real, keeps it simple, and keeps it uncomplicated,” Curtis further added.

Netizens also expressed their excitement with this new cosmetic product on their social media accounts. Some of them are thrilled to use it as they placed their orders online.

The makeup line is the actress’ second business venture, following her mobile game company Xeleb.

The cosmetic product is now exclusively available at top Watsons and SM stores’ beauty section, via @zaloraph and www.blkcosmetics.com.ph.
