MANILA, Aug. 14 —Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) predicted Monday that Mindanao, Western Visayas and Mimaropa will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and possible occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning due to thunderstorms.

In its 24-hour forecast released Monday afternoon, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies, except for isolated light to occasionally heavy rains, gusty winds and lightning, might prevail over Metro Manila and rest of the country.

Inter-tropical convergence zone affects the western sections of Southern Luzon, the Visayas as well as Mindanao, noted PAGASA.

“Light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to east will prevail over the eastern section of Luzon and coming from the southwest to south over rest of the country,” PAGASA said.

Coastal waters nationwide would be slight to moderate, PAGASA added. (PNA)
