MANILA – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Monday it has located a low pressure area southwest of Cavite.

According to its 5:00 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said the LPA was located 180 kilometers southwest of Sangley, Cavite (13.6°N, 119.5°E).

The government agency further said the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains in Western Visayas, including the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Mindoro, Palawan and Negros Occidental.

Other areas, including Metro Manila, will also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies. It will also have isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail throughout the archipelago, reflecting its coastal waters to be moderate to rough.
