MANILA – Former Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Minister Lowell Menorca II has left the country, a Bureau of Immigration (BI) official said on Monday.
According to BI Spokesperson Nicky Reyes, Menorca, together with his wife Jinky and their child left the country for Vietnam on Sunday evening.
“Yes, he left the country at about 10:45 p.m. last night (Sunday),” she said in a text message.
They boarded Cebu Pacific Flight 751 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 for Ho Chi Minh City.
The BI official noted Menorca was allowed to leave the country since there is no hold departure order (HDO) issued against him.
“There is no HDO on Mr. Menorca,” Reyes added.
On the other hand, she is convinced that he has intention to return, based on his return ticket, which is scheduled on March 20.
“He has intention to return meron talaga,” the BI official said.
The former INC minister is facing several cases including libel, adultery and estate.
