MANILA – The Final Nike Rise Team came up short against the much experienced Nike Rise All Stars, 97-73 in their Final game on Sunday Night at the House of Rise in Mandaluyong City.
Despite being teammates for a short period of time, the Rise Team showed vast improvement and teamwork while holding their own against a selection of bonafide UAAP and NCAA stars which includes Thirdy Ravena and Paolo Rivero.
The chosen twelve survived six weeks of intense basketball training under former National team coach Chot Reyes. They also got the privilege of being mentored by Gilas captain Jummy Alapag, NBA stars LeBron James and Paul George, eight-division world champion Manny Pacquiao and King Eagle Kiefer Ravena.
The Rise Team includes Algin Andaya, Nelson De Ocera,Roland Patrick Vinasoy,Dean Fudotan,Kherlie Pino, Jair Borne Marabe,Jude Luke Bulan, Michael Angelo Pingol,John Lester Tubilla, Norman Tubeles, John Paul Fernandez, Vince Romero, Kristine Cayabyab and Rossini Briana Espinas.
