MANILA — A special agent of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday assured the Sandiganbayan that the contents of the hard drive of pork barrel scam whistleblower Benhur Luy were not tampered.
In his testimony at the bail hearing of detained Sen. Jinggoy Estrada and Janet Lim Napoles at the Sandiganbayan Fifth Division, NBI special agent Dario Sabilano insisted that he conducted forensic examinations on the external hard drive of Luy such as “hashing”, or a method of accessing data record, according to Webopedia.
Sabilano told the anti-graft court that he found that the files were not tampered after their copies were placed inside the hard drive.
“We have an exact copy,” said Sabilano, referring to the copies of files inside Luy’s external hard drive.
The files Luy’s hard drive supposedly detail the alleged transactions of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles with various lawmakers.
These files include disbursement vouchers, endorsement letters of lawmakers for various pork barrel funded projects, and special allotment release orders.
