Gov’t, industry intensify collaboration for education to meet AEC requirements

MANILA — The Philippine government and local businesses hasten collaboration to improve the country’s education system.

The country’s largest business group, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), will be holding the National Education Forum (NEF) on August 27, 2015 at the Board of Investments Office in Makati City.

Now on its fifth year, NEF will focus in aligning business education with the requirements of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in order to improve its pool of talents and and be able to compete with other Southeast Asian nations.

Key topics during the NEF include K+12 implementation, current human resource development initiatives, and updates on the Philippine qualification framework.

PCCI’s NEF is in collaboration with Export Development Council and the  Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office.
